Vinko Penezic´ (born in Zagreb, Croatia, in 1959) and Krecimir Rogina
(born in Rijeka, Croatia, in 1959) have worked together since 1979.
Both graduated from the Zagreb School of Architecture, specializing in Belgrade,
from 1983 to 1990, with Professor Ranko Radovic´.
In 1991 they founded the studio PENEZIC´ & ROGINA architects.
They won numerous awards in Japan in 1984, 1990, 1995, 1996, 1999 and 2001.
They also won a silver medal at the INTERARH World Biennial in Sofia in
1987, the Grand Prix at the Belgrade Salon of Architecture in 1988, and
the Vladimir Nazor National Award for Architecture in 2002.
They were the official Croatian representatives at the 2000 Venice Biennale
with their exhibition Transparecy of Hypereal, and were invited by Director
Kurt W. Foster to show Absolute Internet at the 2004 Venice Biennale.
Their most important works include the Mladost Swimming Pool and the Athletic
Stadium in Zagreb (1987 and 1999), the Sacral Complexes in Dubrovnik and
Zagreb, the social housing for war victims in Vukovar (2002) and Nova Gradipka
(2003).
