Gianluca Lerici (Professor Bad Trip) has achieved, not deliberately by the way, undisputed international fame as a designer (and then artist), starting with T-shirts he made himself, playing in post punk bands, working on more or less alternative manifestos and magazines all over Italy and in half the countries on the planet.
He generates an incredible mix of technical solutions and visual cultures, "hard core" roots, psychedelic ravings, cut up, techno rhythms, Central American hallucinations, all fused in various exhibitions and publications: Blood Runner, Starship, Robota, Psyconautica, Il Pasto Nudo, Alter Vox, Double Dose, Bad Mutants, La Bestia.
His drawings have appeared in Primo Carnera, Stampa Alternativa, Shake, Comicland, Bizarre. He works regularly with Mondadori, Monguzzi, Simon & Schuster, and others.
As Carlo Branzaglia says, "Lerici is one of those artists who trouble the collective imagination more than he appears to, because his very personal visual style cannot be modified, but ends (and has ended) by suggesting options, solutions, insights destined to be picked up on in small quantities by exegetes who are involved to a greater or lesser extent in his expressive style."
