The Aluminium Group

They are a musical band based in Chicago. The band members are Frank Navin (vocals, keyboards), John Navin (vocals, guitar), Liz Conant (keyboards), Eddie Carlson (bass guitar), John Ridenour (guitar) and John Blaha (drums). Their first album is entitled Wonderboy Plus, the second Plano, and the third and latest Pedals.
Frank and John are the essence of the band. They write the songs, design the sets, work on videos and look after all the details. Although the Nevin brothers confess they owe a great deal to the radio style music of Burt Bacharach, Jimmy Webb and The Carpenters, they are more similar to nineties bands such as Momus or The Magnetic Fields.
Their sound is characterized by the tremolo of acoustic guitars, undulating strings, the sweet sounds of the horn and easy sentimentality and reflects the Navins' love of their childhood radio music.
